Using a high gain antenna

Hi, I’m not very familiar with antennas. I wanted to know If using a high gain antenna with solid remote cause harm to the solid remote receiver electronics.

Generally it will be fine, the receiver module is a high-performance RF integrated circuit with the ESD rating over 2 kV HBM.

And our remote transit at very low power, usually a simple single copper wire should work fine in most circumstances.

Okay, thank you for the answer…one more question out of curiosity. So in general if I use a high gain antenna with a radio device that’s not capable of taking it, it could potentially cause problems to its receiver, right?

Well, if you’re transmit at high power, and causing receiver overload, then it might damage the receiver.
