Two c-1c remotes on same genie door opener

I can program each remote but not both for the same door

Programming the second seems to cancel the first one out

Any help?

But the code for my old genie had numbers and I have no clue does this mean I need to change the code to my opener in the garage? How do I find the BBcodes to format
